Jill Sider first became interested in art as a young child, through the artistic influences of her Grandpa and Aunt. In her early years, Jill enjoyed working with oils and acrylics. As a teenager she became fascinated with nature and historical sites, while becoming interested in the medium of pen & ink. This led to an opportunity for her to work with the historical society, sketching many local sites.
Jill is a self-taught artist who has developed an interest in rendering nature themes, trees and architectural subjects. Her artwork continues to be a personal passion; however she is also busy with commission requests from clients in Canada and the United States. Although pen & ink remains her favourite medium, she enjoys expressing her creativity through watercolours, and acrylics as well. Today Jill lives in Stevensville Ontario with her husband Wayne and two boys, Drew and Dillon.
